Biography
Ife Graya
I still think we should have adopted one of the more fearsome-looking hatchlings at the auction house, I have been working alongside Sky for some time now, and she almost never has the stomach to perform the necessary tasks of a fighter. Instead of waiting for you to meander through her memories until you pick one you like, I'll do it for you.
"Pay attention, Sky! Like this, you produce an elemental blast from your maw, and then follow up with a slash as they're dazed.
Now, again. Viper over there will attempt to use her talons, so use your size to your advantage." Moon demonstrated the move once more, staining the grass with shadow-magic as he gracefully stepped where his blast had been directed and raised a clawed foot as the pretended to scratch a foe. He had been assigned to hold the training session for the day, and Sky wished he would move on to something else.
"Why can't we go foraging for food, instead? You still haven't shown us how to get the good parts of that flower." She suggested hopefully. Instead, she was met with a look of contempt, snorting with frustration.
"Well, let's see now. We have been attempting to complete a simple battle move for the better part of the day with so far little success." He sighed. "Sky, I can tell that fighting is not your favorite activity, yet you will be depended on in the future to use these skills for survival." Stepping close, he lowered his voice to a whisper. "Do not question me again, it is not my concern as to what you want to do in life. We took you in to become a warrior, and a warrior you will be".
Stepping back he sat in the grass and raised his tail as a signal. "Again!" He shouted.
That night...
The night air felt cool as Sky stepped out of the small bush clearing. Stars could be seen clearer here than anywhere else, and yet the entire realm felt alien. Savage. Sky sighed as she gazed up, and closed her eyes.
An odd chittering sound in the grass caused Sky to look towards the cliffs, eyes widening with horror as what looked like large bugs skittering towards the lair. Sky scrabbled back towards the den and shouted an alarm to the fledgeling clan, and plunged deeper as Bright, Venom, and Moon dazedly hurried out of the lair. Thistle and Viper were sleeping in a small alcove carved out of the stone hall, and while Thistle was relatively easy to wake, Viper took much more effort. The sound of more corpse cleaners drew Sky's attention as she gulped, and prepared to actually use those awful fighting moves...
