Rudy The Spy Rudy, honored among his clan as being an excellent spy of rival clans, prides himself on his work as humbly as he can, and at the same time takes his position ever so seriously. If a young dragon disturbs him during his duties one too many times, they will be sure to receive an insult from a tongue sharper than the spears of the best fighters. Hatched into a lightning clan to a pair of mysterious Skydancers, Rudy immediately stood out from his other three siblings in that he wasn't as conservative as they were. While his father and brother immediately focused on eventually going to serve the Stormcatcher, and his sisters learned the sly, unusual ways of their mother, Rudy often found himself playing, albeit shyly at first, with the other young dragons and rolling in the mud alongside other hatchlings. His mother always stressed the importance of keeping his feathers clean, but unlike the rest of his uptight family, Rudy didn't mind getting a few flecks of dirty earth on his muzzle. After months of training, his father one day decided it was time for him and his oldest son to depart for the Stormcatcher's ranks. However, Rudy's brother admitted to him that he didn't quite feel the most respect for the Stormcatcher; rather, he preferred to serve under the Icewarden. It was Rudy who encouraged him to do this, and at the very last moment, his brother took Rudy's advice and left to serve under the Icewarden instead, while his father left for the Stormcatcher's ranks. This separation between father and both of his sons left Rudy's mother delirious, and even her daughters, with whom she had formed a very close, unspeakable bond, couldn't make her see sense. This was when Rudy knew that this clan was no longer right for him, and he set out to find a new group. He found a water clan led by the Tundra Lilac, and his newly-gained maturity and stoic demeanor earned him a decent ranking in the clan, and before long he was deemed the spy, forever sneaking around and using his thick, dark feathered wings as camouflage.
