Ah, the freshness of youth; Croissant captures it well. With an optimistic mindset, he ventures out into Sornieth with high hopes and dreams. He doesn’t stop moving and likes to take his time. He writes, and writes, forming articles, journals, notes… The nocturne tends to leave a trail of scrolls and paper wherever he goes. The wind helps, whispering secrets and more to him, and Croissant writes it down. Sure, he’s a jolly young dragon, but he holds many, many secrets. Secrets, that when revealed, could bring ruin.

A Prophecy Unravels
The exquisite scent of chocolate-chip cookies wafts up the mountains on warm winds. The pleasing smells motivate Croissant to write; he sits now, overlooking the village below. It's nestled between a lush valley and surrounded by calm waters that trickle down the slopes. His pristine white ballpoint pen scratches across the scrolls. His eyes are filled with intensity as he finishes each word with a swooping stroke. Behind him, a soothing voice calls. A steaming plate of assorted bakery goods is carried by Cookie. Too engrossed to turn around, Cookie creeps up behind him and peers over his tensed shoulders.
"What are you writing?" she asks. When he doesn't respond, she takes off her hat, darting her wide-eyes side to side. Croissant jumps in his seat and aknowledges Cookie with a oh! and a slight droplet of drool as he ogles the treats. Before he can reach for one, Cookie spins around and guards the tray. She tosses her head over her shoulders to see his frown.
"Is something wrong?" he asks; the soft scraping sounds of her feet echo lightly as they fidget on the stone pavilion - it's her nervous dance.
Her voice lowers to a whisper. "What are you writing, Croissant?"
Croissant froze. She'd never used his full name before. Come to think, Cookie bestowed every dragon in town with one of her quick-quipped nicknames from the moment she introduced herself.
"Writing, per usual," he steps forward, "You've gone pale!" he says.
She mumbles something and looks downwards - mumbling and not gleefully exclaiming her feelings - another first for Cookie. She gains confidence and speaks louder.
"They're just scribbles, Crossy," she says, spinning around and running from her stunned friend.
He wants to call to her and shout to the heavens that he can read his writing, but he knows nobody would listen. He returns to his seat with an exhausted sigh and fluttering eyelids, and reads his scroll.
Protect the Prodigy: The Prodigy is the priority of the stars and savior of spirits.
He spends the next hours writing what the wind sings to him in broken lullabies; but sleep calls to his aching hands and sore eyes. His pen rolls out of his claws and clatters against the ground as his head slumps forward. HIs last penstroke swoops as the last ounce of daylight dips below the horizon.
