The Erratic

The youngest in his father's only litter, the very last of his mother's many children, and the only Spiral with two Tundra brothers, Chandler grew up in his clan feeling conspicuous and constantly singled out. In the earth clan, Chandler's mother was considered a healer in some sorts, and therefore respected and feared by her clanmates-- it was the fear part that Chandler never understood. Since his mother was a fellow Spiral, he often stuck with her and never got to know his Tundra father or brothers well. By the time he was an adult, Chandler felt restless and admitted he had a thirst for adventure. He had been a fidgety hatchling to say the least, but even as an adult, he still twitched oddly. If caught by other dragons, he'd claim he had a crick in his neck, or that all Spirals behaved this way-- and that wasn't completely a lie. And so the unable-to-sit-still, twitchy Chandler set off and found a water clan that took him in. Others immediately protested his addition to the clan, telling Lilac about his strange behaviors, including the twitching and muttering in his sleep at night. However, Lilac argued against them, begging her clan to give the new member a chance. And sure enough, Chandler proved himself useful through hunting, easily sliding in and out of tough-to-reach places, and his excellent camouflage with his dappled brown body. It took time, but ultimately Chandler got the warm welcome he deserved, and now doesn't even twitch half as much as he used to.
