Biography
Running away proved to be more of a challenge than she would have liked. Being caught every time and punished worse and worse as her attempts kept coming. Her eyes had black inky circles around and her body littered with bruises. Chains on her hind legs, neck, and waist kept her bond in place only enough give for her to stand and stare out a small crack in the wall. The freedom she so desperately wanted just out of reach... Sadness now ruled her life. She was sad before, but now every wakening moment was greeted with an attempt to brainwash her into thinking she was happy here. When she denied it, torture quickly followed.
She had loved her clan... At least the bright clan that lived above her torture chamber. Down bellow among the roots and shadows, a new light found its way to her. The place she called home was just demonic... The flowers and colors above so inviting but one misstep one difference and you are dragged bellow into the Earth. She could tell she wasn't the only one down her... Crazed laughter and crashing sound coming from the right of her. Another one driven mad by the constant stress. Only when it suddenly stopped did she pick her head up in time to see a horrific sight. Her former friends... dragging the body of a dead dragon across the floor and tossing it into a deeper not far off to where her cell was. 'They... that poor soul... I need to get out of here... I can't, that might be me..!' She was worked into a panic. She had to escape but wait... A plan began to form in her head as she looked forward at the dragons opening her cell door preparing another brainwashing attempt. She would escape. And they would be the very dragons to help her. Each word that left her mouth filled her with disgust, how she loved her clan, how she lived to serve the kings and warriors as a simple dragoness. Providing strong warriors for future battles. It sickened her, but it worked. They unchained her with bright smiles on their faces welcoming her home and leading her outside. She returned the smiles and respected the old laws she was raised with... for now. Under the cover of night, she slipped away making sure to fill her den with leaves and moss to create a somewhat misshapen, silhouette of herself. Just in case they decided to check in on her... She ran for a few miles her breaths coming out in rapid pants that fogged up her pearl she had in her jaws. After awhile she turned to see the distance she had gotten... A sigh of relief escaped her and she placed her pearl into her paws and took off into the night sky a small smile and a lone tear of happiness dripping down her cheek. "I'm... free!" She shouted twisting in the air with happy laughter. And she was, she was finally free... Weeks had gone by and Tormenta found herself entering a new clan. It was just her and the leader another female Pearl Catcher named Derparoo. She had asked about her name, and her robotic body and heard her story. They shared many of the same emotions and the soft friendship started to form between the two lone females. She was lucky Derparoo had found her half starved and extremely dehydrated. Her end looked like it was so close until glowing blue claws gripped onto her and pulled her back away. She was forever thankful. They got along well, and Derparo greatly enjoyed the flowers and color Tormenta brought to her dull life. It was like fate, the chances of two dragons having similar ideas on life, being so accepting of each other, and helping one another in ways that only they could. She was happy in her new clan. It is small, dusty, and not as vibrant as the one she once called family before, but it was far more than all of that. It was an actual home. |
