Lyune

By her interactions with the clan, Lyune seems to be a mixture of both her father and her mother, mildly reserved like the former, but with an innate insecurity and tendency to hide her feelings just as the latter does. Hatched just moments after her sister, Lyune will forever be the younger sister of the perfect sibling, and though she loves Karana to death, she cannot help but feel that her situation is unfair. She often shadows her elder sister throughout the day, watching the way she treats others with a hawk's eye of interest. Secretly she is jealous of how much the other dragons enjoy Karana's company, and has an inferiority complex that runs bone-deep when it comes to her own skill, which she feels - when compared to her sister, at least - is severely lacking.

Ulema has taken Lyune under her wing, becoming a mentor of sorts and attempting to coax the young Pearlcatcher into recognizing her own worth instead of eternally comparing herself to that of Karana's. The lessons have been doing her some good recently, but Lyune's attitude is deeply ingrained, and it will take time to fully break her of the unhealthy mental habit.

As a Pearlcatcher, Lyune is smaller than her Skydancer siblings, but she has tried not to let it bother her, focusing instead on the traits she possesses that her nestmates do not. Her scales are paler and more snowy than her older sister, but other than that she is very similar to Karana in coloration, though instead of violet wings and fur, her own are more like her mother, orange and peachy. Just like her sister, however, she does share the magenta facial markings, which bleed up her horn instead of into a Skydancer's forehead crystal.
