He was born to dance. The movements having been built into his very body like his wings or his tail or his scales or his ridges. Not dancing was an insult to him! He had to move his body, to express himself in ways some could only dream of! His dances were meant to make others smile, to make them happy. He wanted to spark their deepest emotions and have his audience cry tears of joy as he pranced on his claws and spun around on the dance floor. He would use anything around him to improve his performance. When he lived in his homeland, he would kick up ice and snow, making a beautiful blizzard around himself. His bright colors giving the sense of the tropics. His audiences would cheer and beg for more once he was done. Some even begged to know how he learned to dance. Was it his parents or someone in his clan? He couldn't answer their questions. Not with what they expected. Ipsum was always alone. No one taught him to dance. No one except the snowflakes. Snowflakes are true dancers. They prance down from the sky in beautiful movement together, cascading the earth in their beauty and grace. And once their dance is done, they coat the world in a beautiful blanket. Yes, Ipsum learned to dance from the snow. From the blizzards and wind. He learned to dance from rock slides and crashing waves. No one was a better dancer than Nature herself.

That was why he traveled the world once he perfected dancing in the snow and ice. He went to the land of Wind and learned to dance in time with the zephyrs. He went to Arcane and learned the secrets of the dancing stars. He traveled to fire and learned the rhythm of the lava and fire. He traveled to Earth and developed the wise style of the moving stones. Nature taught him to dance with the butterflies and swaying trees and flowers. Shadow taught him to dance in darkness and in time with both the flickering flames of the camp fire and the dancing shadows beyond. Light taught him how to dance in time others, perfecting his style with partners. Finally, Lightning taught him how to feel his dance. To prance and fly and move in time with the unpredictable storms. All the styles had formed themselves into his own unique style of dance. Yet he was missing one style. Water. It was then that he met her. Delarosa.

Her dance style was different from anything Ipsum had ever seen! She danced like water, staying true to her home element. Ipsum needed to learn her style, her ways, so he asked her to teach him. It didn't take long for Ipsum to call her clan his own. They danced together, teaching each other all they had learned. Eventually, they became the sole entertainment for many dragons and beast. They movements matched perfectly. Their very souls intertwining together. Oddly enough, some of their practices ended up in... eggs. Which was strange given Ipsum was one of the gayest dragons in the clan—if not the gayest. He had no interest in any females that he came across, and some of his dances were targeted at any males that caught his eye. Yet the eggs still appeared when he danced with Delarosa. He then came to a very simple conclusion: their dances were overflowing in their powerful magic. Magic that had helped them both hatch without parents. A magic that was so incredibly potent, it required no physical actions. He loved the children, of course, but he was sure to make it clear that the eggs appeared through dance. Not through anything else. Some asked to see this magical dance, but both he and Delarosa agreed that such a dance must be performed during their private practice. It wouldn't work if someone was to watch.

Regardless of the children that sometimes results, Ipsum remains one of the best dancers. He constantly trains with other dancers or teaches a few during his free time. The desire to be the best dancer there is had driven him so far in life. Originally, he was sure he would starve to death. He and water had never gotten along, but after learning how to dance with the waves and the currents, he has grown used to water on his scales. He can now fish for himself and for his lovely dance partner. In fact, he can't see a world without him living somewhere near water now. When he misses home, he even blesses his lovely clan with snow on the shore. Expelling his magic in such a way wears him down, and prevents him from dancing until he recovers. The clan members that know this must agree that having eggs through magic is possible. He and his partner have some of the strongest magical energies in the clan. Who is to say tat they don't use magic during their dances? That they don't expel their very life force to make others smile? Regardless of how their dances occur, no one can deny that they aren't beautiful.
