Biography
It is unusual to see Fae with a spark so bright that it is near blinding. While most are inclined to wield their magic at a distance, there is the very rare few who engage in combat so close. And one of those rare few is Aodh, a protege in close quarters combat that rivals even the fiercest of dragons. Hatched with a strong connection to their element, when the young dragon preferred to use their physical prowess, it concerned many older and traditional dragons.
“Faes are not meant for close quarters.” “They’re fragile at best, and should fight at a distance.”
Aodh ignored the advice of the old and the weak minded. When it mattered, she would rise to the challenge and defend herself as she saw fit. Despite it all, she trained hard and learned to use her smaller than average size to advantage in combat. A dragon with such spirit was rare, but it suited Aodh well.
As her training neared completion, she reached out to the leaders of the faction she was placed in, Skoll and Hati of Rock Paws, to fight with the guard that went beyond the mountains. Her enthusiasm was met with hesitancy. The two dragons, who made a portion of the valley that prided themselves on their laid back attitudes towards living, didn't quite understand her eagerness. It wasn’t the no she was expecting, nor was it the yes that she wanted. Determined to seek the answer she wanted, she left in search of the elders who would give her what she sought.
When she asked, the Fae was met with more hesitancy. She was small. She could be gravely injured. But it mattered not when the old Mirror spoke, granting her permission to join the guard.
Years of fighting were now behind her, as she leads Wounded Maw atop the mountain ranges that surround the valley with her mate Cavalcade, patrolling the steep cliffs with watchful eyes and ready to defend her home from anything that stepped out of line.
