GARDENER

Iris grew up in a family full of musicians, artists, and nature lovers. Although most dragons consider her beautiful, Iris believes true beauty is found in simpler things, like the flower for which she was named. Much to Kenton's dismay she refuses apparel, saying that true beauty comes from life and nature. and does not need to be dressed up.

Iris spends most of her time with Kenton, or in her garden. At first her clanmates thought she was wasting away her days looking at pretty flowers, but they quickly came to discover that she was cultivating both the prettiest and the tastiest plants she could find. This in turn drew more insects, and now the plant and bug eaters in the clan are eating better than they ever had before. Kestrel was the first to take interest in Iris's garden project, after the spiral spent nearly an entire night telling her all about the various properties of her plants when the two were caught out in the garden during a violent thunderstorm. Ever since then, Kestrel has brought back any new plants she finds on her travels for Iris to cultivate, along with occasional other surprises.

In addition to more plants and insects, Iris's garden also attracted Kenton. The tiny fae would hide among the flowers and watch the energetic spiral dart between the plants - pulling up a weed here, and smelling a blossom there. Eventually Iris noticed him darting between the flowers, and invited him to paint her garden any time he wanted. Kenton was back to paint the very next day, and nearly every day since.

When Nishati and Caina joined the clan, they too took great interest in Iris's quickly-growing garden. With their help, what started as a few clusters of plants has expanded to a massive garden, including a variety of wildlife which Nishati cares for, and several pools for marine creatures which Caina oversees. No longer relegated to a small corner of the lair, the garden now nearly encircles the entire camp.
