The Princess has no memory of her life before that day she came to Siltaria's Lair. The day Prince Drake found her alone and without hope, clutching a piece of driftwood in the middle of Windstar Bay with a broken wing and so dehydrated she thought she was hallucinating. Dragons in perfect formation descended from the grey stormy skies and scooped her from the waves. The next thing she can remember is Prince Drake beside her in a cavern speaking to another dragon about her injuries. She blacked out again, she could not say how long, but Siltaria told her later that she had been unconscious for days. She finally felt whole and awake, and Siltaria, head of the Lair she’d been brought to, explained her rescue and sought answers to Airlynn’s past. The only possible explanation of her situation is that she’d been injured in the last Battle of the Bay that had ended weeks before. But Airlynn, other than her name, could remember nothing. Siltaria welcomed her to their lair, gave her a room. Airlynn accepted gratefully and hoped that her mind would heal from whatever she had been through.

While healing her wing, and getting to know those of Siltaria’s Lair, Airlynn found small ways to help the lair. She saved a couple hatchlings who almost ate deadly mushrooms. She taught the cooks a new way to prepare Star Moss, and discovered she also knew how to decorate cakes. She sang songs of the dragon gods that none of them had heard before, and when asked by Lyric the Lair's Minstrel to write them down for him, her penmanship was. She greatly enjoyed those around her, so supportive and friendly, but always she knew there was something in her past that her mind had blocked out. The doctors all told her that someday it might come back, but til then she needed to simply heal and live her life. She had been reborn, and it was up to her what she would do now.

Prince Drake, though a busy dragon with his Gale Riders and patrolling the Bay, as well as organizing battle messengers and often in closed meetings with various Wind Flight Leaders, he found time to have dinners with her. At first she thought he only did this for pity of the poor dragon with a broken wing and no memories, but as their dinners continued, she discovered he was funny and polite. She looked forward to seeing him. One starry night as they sat along the beaches of Windstar Bay and sipped wine, a meteor shower began shooting across the sky. Airlynn remembered the name, and how the Perimistral Meteor Shower came every year at this time. She smiled and delighted in each shooting star. Drake spoke quietly and broke her focus on the skies above. “There is only one shooting star in my life, and that is you, Airlynn. I must tell you that I am a Prince, and my life is dedicated to the Gale Riders and protecting the borders of Wind Flight, but I have something more to fight for these days. Airlynn, princess of my heart, will you marry me?” And so they soon married and remained in Siltaria’s Lair.

LPrincess Airlynn did her best to inspire the Gale Riders and ensure their families at home were well cared for and safe while her husband and his warriors patrolled or did battle to defend the Wind Flight. She quietly ensured their hatchlings were taught well, and their spouses lacked for nothing. They soon lovingly called her Lady of the Gale.

Airlynn's happiest times were at night, and she discovered her Shadow heritage was strong. At the next Trickmurk Circus she and the Gale Riders passed the word that there was a daughter of Shadow Flight hunting for her lineage. Nothing has come of it, but word of the Lady of Gale has spread far and wide. Something might come to her on the Wind soon.
