Position: Lighthouse of a Ridgeback clan: not a permanent member of the Kith.
Relationships
Parents: (Unnamed & Unnamed): No one has heard Assana mention her family. Hearing her speak of her birthplace in Light is rare enough, so this comes as no surprise.
Siblings:
(All): Assana was not an only child, but to what extent that she wasn't, no one knows.
Mate:(None): Though word has it several young Ridgebacks have proposed to her, as you can see, none of them had much success.
Offspring:(None): It's uncertain whether or not Assana has any interest in offspring. Talking around with other members of her clan, however, hints that she might be open to the idea.
Friends:
(All): Assana is the type who would give you the shirt off her back, even if she didn't have one. Unfaithingly kind and selfless, her allies often need to remind her to look after herself, and not just them. This natural-born worrier can't help but expect the worst 95% of the time, and rejoice with those she loves when she's proved wrong.
Familiar:
(Blue Tang Hippogriff): Many of these Familiar compete with the Ridgebacks for food on the coast, though some join the group and help them hunt. This Hippogriff is one such example of this.
Story
It's Time You Went on an Adventure...
The lone Pearlcatcher living in a clan of Ridgeback fishers. Her home sits on sheer cliffs of Wind Flight overlooking the ocean, where groups of her clanmates routinely fly out to sea to check nets and traps, returning with enough fish to feed their families and friends alike. Every week or so, Assana bids farewell and good hunting to dragons she knows and cares about, and then for several nights after, she roosts on the very edge of the cliffs and prays for their safe return.
With her pearl clutched tightly in her single glove, beneath the fishers' full moon, Assana hopes to act as a lighthouse of sorts. The moonlight reflects brightly off her pearl's surface, acting as a beacon for the fishers who fly homeward in the dead of night. With her determined watch and constant prayer, Assana has seen every team return safe, and for her service, they consider her a beloved friend and good-luck charm.
For years, Assana has enjoyed seafood bonfires and the most gregarious company imaginable, but the leader of the Ridgeback fishers has always had concerns about Assana's selflessness. Born in Light, Assana has not returned home to the radiance of the Sunbeam Ruins in ages, nor has she been among her own kind. Assana loves her Ridgeback friends like nothing else in the world, but when the Kith came visiting with talk of their upcoming travels to Light, Assana's leader encouraged her to do something selfish for once, and join them for a little adventure.

Valued Possessions: Her pearl, though that goes without saying. This is one of Assana's few possessions, and one that she handles gently. She can sometimes be seen polishing it with her single glove.
Habits: Since she only has one glove, when sitting up for cold nights over the shore, Assana will hold her bare hand to her chest to keep it warm. Seeing her with clasped claws and her head turned up to the moon gives her the appearance of prayer, and more often than not, that's exactly what she's doing. Assana rarely sleeps until she's managed to sate her worries with enough prayer.
Breed/Color Changes: Used to be a Cry/Face/Gem Imp. There's nothing else that CAN be changed!
