______ From the day he was born, Cloud was never one for idle prattle. He spent his early days sitting on the cliffs by the seaside, watching the waves crash on the shore. But he never once watched them with an empty gaze. No! His mind was always working, from the moment he woke up to the minute he fell asleep. In fact, that was where he got his name, as his mind was always far in the clouds. By the time he became an adult, Cloud had suggested several changes to the clan, heading some of the more successful renovations and coming to be quite appreciated throughout the Clan.

______ Growing up in a warrior family, Cloud quickly learned that he had little skill in fighting, much to his father's chagrin. "Too much time sitting idle, not enough time practicing" in his words. Still, Cloud made up for his lack of fighting skill in another area: strategy. Cloud might not be able to hit something to save his life but give him a tent and a few hours and he could draft up a plan to save several lives. His family eventually grew to appreciate his talents and position in the clan, as every warrior needs a battle plan.

______ Though his siblings still tease him on occasion about abandoning the family tradition, Cloud doesn't mind. After all, he's happier this way, and isn't that's what matters, isn't it?
