Born from the very fabric of the universe, Mare emerged as a light egg abandoned amidst the Sunbeam Ruins. Aerach, who had discovered and taken her in, has long since returned to the Icewarden. Following Aerach's passing, Mare and her mate Calore departed their original clan.

Embarking on a journey across Sornieth in search of a suitable nesting ground, they eventually settled within the Frigid Floes. In this icy realm, a chance discovery led them to a cozy grove nestled amid the tundra—an ideal haven to establish their own clan, envisioned as a sanctuary for lost souls and the banished.

However, their aspirations for peace in the frozen expanse were thwarted. Frequent invasions and resource struggles prompted Mare and Calore to migrate back to the land of Light. Presently, you'll find them encircling the Moonportal, their clan inhabiting a vast network of tunnels beneath the plateau. The tale of Mare and Calore unfolds as a journey from the Sunbeam Ruins to the Frigid Floes, ultimately finding a new home and purpose beneath the radiant light of the Moonportal.

Within the expanse of the Lacustrine Grotto, a subterranean garden unfolds, revealing an array of mystical flora that flourishes under the soft glow of the cavern. Crystal vines adorned with radiant blossoms cascade down the walls, creating a breathtaking tapestry of colors. Luminescent insects akin to fireflies weave through the floral spectacle, adding their twinkling glow to the ethereal ambiance.

At the center of this celestial garden you will find the Stardust Well, a shimmering pool that seems to hold the essence of the cosmos itself. The waters are infused with otherworldly energies and reflect the ever-changing constellations that adorn the cavern ceiling. As you continue to traverse the garden, you may discover enchanted trees who stretch their branches toward the heavens, their leaves whispering cosmic secrets.

The air in the Lacustrine Grotto carries the fragrance of the surrounding blooms, creating a symphony that resonates through the underground sanctuary. This celestial realm, with its garden and cosmic wonders, offers a tranquil respite for any and all.
