The first statue of the lair

In the beginning,there was Thunder. The skies sent him down,the oceans caught him in their arms. The fish whispered in his ears, the bubbles,filled with prophecies, told him of the Searches. He listened,he opened his eyes.
He swam.He struggled. He got up,the words,the voices,telling him to search,to search,Thunder left the sea. The wind whistled and he ran.
For years he wandered, trying to find a charge, a thing, a someone to protect. He stumbled eventually into a pool, only to find himself curled up in the Tsunami Flats. His face went from shock, to relief, to joy.
Thunder plunged into the icy water, ignoring the startled fish, and the bubbles whistled again. He was home.
The Guardian swam and swam, until he noticed an air pocket wobbling in the shadow of a cliff face. He entered slowly, to find seaweed and corals covering a cave?-no,a den-entrance. Silently, he walked in.
Thunder saw her then.
