"We have to tell them", she insisted. Nimala frowned and Stokrotka felt ashamed about wasting her time. Still, she wasn't going to step back. "They deserve to know the truth", she repeated quietly, worried about someone overhearing their conversation. "What truth?" Stokrotka sighed loudly. "About the curse." There was a long silience which followed her words and it felt worrying. Nimala rose up from her place and stared deeply into Stokrotka's eyes. The beige Tundra trembled, starting to regret coming here. "You're the peacekeeper, right?", said the clan's matriarch. Stokrotka nodded, unsure what was going in Nimala's mind. "So you should know that there won't be peace if we ever tell them the truth. Is that what you want? Riots?" They never spoke about it again. Sometimes it was better to live in ignorance. And sometimes the knowledge was a heavy burden. Every time she looked at Dmuchawiec, Stokrotka felt happy that at least he didn't have to carry it.
