Biography
The product of an extremely fine line of breeding, Mistral is one of six identical siblings, all saddled with the high expectations of meticulous and highly picky parents. Like many Skydancers, Mistral's mother and father are both very proud, but possess traits very similar to the lineage-conscious Pearlcatchers, sharing that mentality with much of the rest of their clan.
Very early in his life, Mistral slipped away before their calculations could extend to himself as well, and traveled from the Tangled Wood and across the regions native to the other Flights. All throughout this time, he took any odd job he came across to keep himself fed, but as he grew older began to gravitate towards the darker side of mercenary work. Now primarily an assassin, his latest contract failing was what ultimately brought him to Vigilance's clan. Many of his new clanmates were deeply apprehensive of taking in a rogue that could easily be more dangerous even than Scorpio - due to the constant, more subtle risk that comes with welcoming an unpredictable Shadow dragon - but Vigilance soothed these worries both by pointing out Ulema's steadfast loyalty despite her elemental alignment as well as the fact that Mistral is quite injured at the moment. The Skydancer seems to be making a quick recovery in spite of his wounds, however, and though he's shown no inclination towards betraying his saviors, has not yet earned the trust of the dragons he now lives in close quarters with.
Mistral falls into the more average spectrum when it comes to his size, and shares the same compact, feline body as the rest of his species. Just like many members of his family, both pelt and feather are pristine, snowy white, fading to very pale gray and obsidian in several splotches, like the spots along his primary and secondary flight feathers. This uncommon but prized coloration reminds many of Mistral's adopted clan of the arctic owls that reside in the far south of Sornieth, within the frigid icecaps where the Ice Flight makes their home.
