“Where are you headed?” he asked the green eyed wildclaw, a brow raised as he took in the strange group of travelers.

Three wildclaws, along with a small fae, stood before him. A strange mix to be traveling through the tundra. The wildclaw warrior decked in gold addressed him with a voice that commanded attention, her deep green eyes shining from beneath her helmet as she studied him. She seemed powerful and predatory, and though he was still young and small for his age, he felt no fear when she and her group had approached him. He had an inkling that they needed something.

“We are hunting a mirror," she replied as she looked him up and down. "Reports indicate she is hiding in the Ice Fields. Originally from Water, wanted on suspicion of mass murder. Have you anything of the like around here?”

Ethreain noticed the wildclaw was short and to the point. Perhaps they were in a hurry to find this mirror of theirs. He flicked his tail calmly as he pondered the question, “Hmm… I haven’t seen her. But you know, I might have heard some rumors.”

“If you have any information that would be beneficial to this mission, we’d be grateful,” she pressed. Ethreain thought he detected a hint of desperation. Could they really not have heard anything?

Ethreain could feel all eyes on him… and he couldn’t help but smirk. One bad tip could send the strange group on a wild goose chase. Although he enjoyed feeling in control, he felt he could benefit from helping them. He knew what laid within that mirror's fortress, and he wanted to claim it for himself...

origins.
Though he was born in the southern part of the Starfall Isles, Ethreain found himself exploring the Frigid Floes as soon as he could fly - much to the displeasure of his parents. The Southern Icefields could be a dangerous place, and Ethreain admired that danger. He often found himself lying to his parents about his whereabouts so he could continue visiting the Icefields and learning about the power that ice had over living things. Eventually he made his childhood hiding place in the Icefields into a permenant camp, and he never returned to his family in the Starfall Isles. He was then able to study Ice magic in private and believes that he has caught the attention of the Icewarden himself. Through the years he has grown to a formidible size, and despite his bright Arcane eyes, his excess fur and ice-covered scales give him the appearance of an Ice-born Imperial - a fact he is very proud of.

This ring was imbued by a wizard's apprentice, a young one by the looks of it. The spell is very light, very faint- a weak illuminating spell. Perhaps for studying at nighttime while they were supposed to sleep.

The ring started its life forged by the apprentice's mother, who wore it for many many years before she passed it down to them. A deeply sentimental object, which stayed with the apprentice through their life even though they eventually completed their apprenticeship.

The ring activates with a whisper, and the spell has not been augmented since it was casted.
