Apollo wrote:
Apollo believed they were born in the Lightweaver's image, to carry out her message across the land and one day join her to continue serving her even after death. They saw no need for earthly pleasures, casting off gender, possessions and attachments.

Their mother was exceptionally proud, believing she had created the perfect being. Of course, it went to Apollo's head and they allowed those feelings of pride to fill them. They left their family to spread the word and teachings of the Lightweaver, leading other dragons into the light, as it were. They traveled with no possessions and lived off the handouts from others or what they could scrounge up from the land.
