CRASHING A much younger Fjord, a more innocent Fjord, could never have imagined the Path set out for her after her Search. She was never meant to be an Oracle reading prophecies at the Shoredeep Presage, or visit the Drowned Sanctum as a magister or scholar. She knew she was born and bred for two things: To lead, and to fight. Orphaned at the Tsunami Flats, no dragon wanted to help the pale born Guardian, believing her to be diseased, a rot amongst those who lived there. But Fjord listened to their whispers, their taunts, their teases. It hurt, for awhile, until she proved them all wrong. A younger Fjord was a less smarter Fjord. She was confident, bold, sure of herself for all the wrong reasons, and many tended to flock to that attitude. She stayed at the Tsunami Flats for many years, hunting for a Clan that begrudgingly took her in once she had a growth spurt. But her inexperience and confidence would be her undoing.
