Ever since he was a hatchling, he has had a natural inclination for herbs and poultices. Any wounds he’s ever received have been treated by his own remedies. As he grew up and learned all the many ways various plants and berries could be used to tend wounds, his methods became less and less…. Orthodox. Rather than use magic or natural pain killers to ease a patient’s suffering, Nyko would simply stuff a thick piece of wood in their mouth and tell them to “bite down or its going to hurt worse.” He uses the same clay bowl to mix various types of antidotes… Many in the clan seem to think thats a little… Unsanitary. Once Tartarus realize that the Ice Rep, Snowsquall Tundra had a natural affinity for healing and was able to ease his clan mates pains in a way that seemed to cause them little to no discomfort, it became obvious who the better choice was. Nyko is still extremely bitter about this. He can usually be found grumping about in his lair that has recently been moved to the outer area of the Main Lair. His bad attitude can even be seen in the dirty and muddy look of his pearl, which he usually clutches in one of his gnarled claws, waving it about as he barks at juveniles to “fetch me more berries!!” Many of the clans young dragons dread being assigned to the awful Pearlcatcher simply because he is absolutely no fun to be around! Even his familiar, a surely looking Extinguished Jackalope, seems to have acquired his lack of feelings and compassion. How the two can stand each other’s company, the world may never know!
