Biography
a dragon of mysticism . . . Very little is known about Ramsey as they have spent their time in the clan under great secrecy. They spend their time holed up in their personal sleeping areas, practicing their magic and communing with their ancestors. There are days where they are not seen at all, not even for first breakfast that everyone in the clan goes to. When they are seen, they don't stop to chat. In fact, the only dragon Ramsey ever seems to speak to is Pumpkin, and they speaks so softly no other dragon can hear them. The rumors have gone rampant around them but it doesn't seem to cause them any distress. On occasion, such as the yearly clan celebration, Ramsey can be spotted taking part in the festivities. During these once-a-year events they do mingle, though they are still distant and aloof. The typical behaviors they show tends to keep them far from the social life. When other dragons gift them items out of either fear or respect, they accept them in silence. Sometimes young dragons attempt to mess with them, to which they will often use small party trick magic to scare them off. Ramsey's loyalty to the clan is unquestioned, and they are absolutely invaluable to Pumpkin as an advisor. |
Then . . .
As a dragon born beneath the waves of the sea, Ramsey was always destined for mystic greatness. Their parents were aboard the Starweaver, a pirate ship on the open sea, and took a leave from the ship to raise their first - and only - clutch of eggs. As a newly hatched dragon, Ramsey learned the way of the ocean from their magically inclined mother. When the hatchlings had grown enough, they joined the rest of the crewmates on the ship to learn the trades.
Ramsey showed incredible ability for speaking to the dead and began to use this ability in port to gain treasure. The Starweaver had little room to keep on as many dragons, and Ramsey was soon collecting enough treasure to strike out on their own. One by one they watched as elder siblings left for other adventures. Mere weeks before Ramsey was ready to leave, catastrophe struck. A beastclan attacked the ship on open waters and Ramsey's mother was killed. They left at the next port and didn't look back, heading deep into the Gladekeeper's territory where they found the EchoFlower clan and joined them.
Now . . .
Upon the move to the Lightweaver's territory, Ramsey set up their sleeping quarters beside a stream. Most of their days are spent attempting contact with ancient residents of the Hewn City for Pumpkin's library books. Some of their days are spent attempting to contact the spirit of their mother for one last act of closure, though to this day they have been unable to do so. It doesn't keep them from spending long nights staring into the stream beside their sleeping quarters.
When they find something of interest, the first place they go is to Pumpkin. Be it something from the past or something about the future, Pumpkin is the only one they speak to about this information. They speak to no other dragons, outside of the yearly celebrations. It has given them quite the reputation but they don't care.
