Over a year ago, if you had asked this Spiral what she planned to do in life, Kira would have answered a nest-mother or just a general forager for her clan. She never envisioned her main occupation to be a warrior in the Coliseum, until, she came to Clivus’ clan in the Tangled Wood. The mirror had offered her a simple life, where she could exist and find her own was, but it was here that she met Oculi, a feisty and ambitious mirror who, with the help of the analytical Hallux the Wildclaw, was recruiting for a new Coliseum team. Oculi’s rashness and bold nature coupled with Hallux’s meticulousness was a bad mix to say the least. It was not long before this resulted in the third member, their mage, quitting. The two were desperate for the greatness in tournaments that they knew they were destined for, but their partnership was hanging on by a thread. That’s where Kira came in. The pair of fighters needed a dragon with water eyes, since the Coliseum guide had suggested they have one on their team in order to give them the upper hand against many opponents. It just happened that Kira was a water dragon, so they set their sights on her. It took much convincing for the Spiral to finally agree to the two dragons’ pleas, and she certainly didn’t plan to stay long, but Hallux and Oculi were desperate. The life in the Coliseum meant a lot to them. Kira could see that the two dragons had kind hearts, so she decided to see what this Coliseum thing was all about. So, Kira began to learn the ways of the Coliseum battle. While clumsy at first, it surprised her teammates, and herself even more, that she had a particular talent for winning battles, but, even better, she was the perfect, level-headed, counterpart to the two dynamic dragons. Oculi may have been the energy of the fighting team and Hallux, the intimidating force, but Kira was what completed the team and made the fighters a formidable force in the Coliseum. Her sensibility was the glue that held the two powerhouses together, creating a strong and formidable force on the battlefield. Kira’s debt has long been forgotten and even so, she does not regret the day she joined Hallux and Oculi, leading her to find her true calling.
