From her first breath, it was obvious that Eydis' head has too much anger and too little sense in it; ruled by emotion before logic. There was no hiding it. She had a hard head, literally and metaphorically, and wasn't shy about sharing the incredibly incoherent thoughts rattling around in there on the daily. They were quite underwhelming, those thoughts. T Ý R To Eydis, her father is her hero. Despite not being related by blood, the two were frighteningly alike, and shared an intensity and strength few could match. It was he that taught her to fight, to control herself, to become the kind of dragon that could fit into a society— without Týr and his endless patience, Eydis would not be the warrior she is today. | __ |

No matter that Fylgja did not understand Eydis and her aggression, Fylgja loved her wholly and openly, and that created an unbreakable bond between them. Eydis may never know her biological mother, but she does not need to; not with Fylgja as her chosen mother. | __ |

She fronts the Warriors of Valhall as their Commander, her strength proven time and time again on the battlefield, and her fiery spirit guides her as she paves the way for the future of the clan.

From first breath, Eydis had a hard head and too little sense in it. It did grow better over the years, it's true, but she remains as much of a roughened spirit still.
The countless battles lost has left the bitter taste of defeat lingering on the tip of her tongue; rancid and constant. Even so many years later, it haunts her, and she's grown to accept nothing but perfection. Especially from herself. Trying to follow her father's footsteps has surely taken it's toll on her, and she yearns for acknowledgement for herself and her achievements, and it drives her forward relentlessly. Desperately.
The titles and achievements she has earned are precious to her, her pride and joy without a doubt, no matter the heavy weight that comes with them. Being named Master of War was one of the greatest moments of her life, yet her shoulders ache from carrying such a responsibility day in and day out. Her spot as Second in Command is one she'd trade for nothing...
... and yet she lies awake at night, worrying always that she's not truly worthy of it. That she's not able to do what needs be done when the day comes.
Yet her passion truly lies on the battlefield and she'd be hard pressed to refuse a good fight if there's breath left in her body. Maturity may have been a necessary evil as she grew up, but some light-hearted roughhousing won't hurt no one, and she won't listen to those claiming it's beneath her to go rolling about in the snow with the rest of the soldiers- the few that's thought as much over the years have, coincidentally, not lived in Valhall very long. There were clans better suited to them elsewhere.
Being in charge of as much as she is, Eydis spends most of her time working. She has no tolerance for nonsense, yet--ironically enough--she has a tendency to do the exact opposite of what she's told to do. But it's fine when she does it and no, she's totally not a hypocrite, what are you talking about? Rebellion was always a big part of who she was and was part of the reason she got into so many fights to begin with, a lack of tolerance for authority getting her into trouble often. It's softened somewhat with age, but she's nowhere near easily controlled.
Socializing isn't high on her list of priorities and she's picky about the company she keeps, preferring to keep to her lonesome rather than spend time with those she considers undesirable. But those she does consider her friends and family she will do anything for, loyal to the bone and then some. She is the kind of dragon that values a friend for life over a gaggle of acquaintances any day. In the midst of battle, she is the one that keeps her cool and ensures her team's survival and success- by any means. She would gladly lay down her own life for the greater good. Eydis is not disheartened by failure either, always thinking ahead and aiming for glory even during the darkest of times.
That love was most prominent on those rare nights Eydis was genuinely upset, be it from losing yet another fight or an injury or frustration with the world, and Fylgja would sit with her. Would listen to her angry venting, would deal with her temper, and would be the only mother Eydis could ever think to need.
For some time, Eydis took much for granted. She was young and inexperienced; when suddenly someone challenged her authority- she faltered. Embla did not care for her title or standing, attacking all the same. Out of nowhere, she had to earn the respect others had given freely. Never before had there been an attempt at overthrowing anyone in the Council, even less the favored daughter, but Embla went for it. Eydis had to fight, for the first time, and it created an odd relationship, especially as Eydis retained her titles and Embla was forced to admit defeat, but the two did become... something. Eventually.
