A Priestess
A prayer, whispered in the dark of night. A length of beads blessed by the Arcanist himself and imbued with all the knowledge of the stars. These are Gentleharp’s most treasured belongings, and she’s careful to repay her deity by serving him in return. Although she was born in the Viridian Labyrinth, Gentle was raised in the Starwood Strand. She considers it her home more than the Gladekeeper's domain. Gentleharp is a devout priestess. Although those who follow the Arcanist usually prefers astrology to any other pursuit, Gentle is more of a religious creature than anything. She cares for the injured, sick and poor, and does her best to live a pious life. Her sweet disposition makes her perfect for this job. The tenants of the Arcanist: Firstly, never do harm to those who have not harmed you. You should never raise your claw, unless in defense of yourself, or the defense of others. Second, do not put faith in worldly possessions. Seek knowledge and peace, and do good work, but do not spend your life looking for material gain. Thirdly and finally, always help those who are in need. No matter their situation, it is your duty to provide aid in the name of the Arcanist. While Gentleharp does her best to follow these rules, she also has another duty. As a loyal follower of the Arcanist, she spends every free moment she has studying the many stars in the sky. According to her beliefs, when she dies she will eventually be turned to stardust and return to the depths of space. Everything was born at the heart of a star, and will return there again in death. To some that might be a scary thing, but to Gentleharp it’s a comforting thought.
