 KHADIJA 'GLOOM' KARGA THE SHADOW WITCH DAUGHTER OF THE ORKIDE COVEN «- - - - - - - - - - - - - ❖ - - - - - - - - - - - - -» Witches are not like you nor me. Whatever they once were, they slowly become something else as time forms them into otherworldly beings of unimaginable power. But this is not how they start, for even those born into covens as Khadija was are simply people when they are born. People with strange powers who see will-o'-wisps and the shimmering hands of spirits, kind and thoughtful people. Others rarely agree. Their reputation proceeds them, and so Khadija's coven was slaughtered by witch hunters when she was a young adult. Who she was before is unknown, for that was hundreds of years ago now. She travelled for decades, plying herself as more of a thief and a bandit than a witch. She met a man, Woe, whom she travelled with for a time. It was together that they joined the Thanatos Syndicate when it was in it's infancy. But now, it's only her left. Khadija is a force to be reckoned with. She is the only person who, really, doesn't answer to anyone. Rho by technicality, but he allows her to do as she pleases. Mostly she answers missives that request hexes, spells, items: the sorts of things only she can do or retrieve. Everyone knows you can go to her and the likelihood is that she can help you, be it with advice or something physical. Not that she will, not all the time. She can be prickly and vindictive, as likely to condemn someone to a life of misery as she is to bring them good fortune and love. It's not that she really feels that way. Misfortune has left a scar on her soul which drives her to cruelty from time to time- she won't coddle anyone and has no doubts about how the way the world views her. Still, there's a motherly instinct that still refuses to go out, and everyone knows it. She has an endless love inside her that still rages on the inside, no matter how she tries to suppress it: a zest for life that continues in the face of adversity.
