Tired? In need of a pick-me-up? Not quite feeling yourself today? Sure, Apium could probably supply a dragon with some sort of herbal remedy for fatigue, but Roux would simply state that the best antidote for absolutely any ailment was coffee. Splinter? You need some coffee. Stubbed a talon? Coffee always puts a smile on your face! Internal bleeding? I'm sure you just need some coffee.
It was unheard of for anyone to be annoyed by Roux's passion for coffee, partly because he somehow managed to brew a darned good batch of it every single time. Most dragons in the clan would stop by before starting their days; whether it was early morning, afternoon, or a late night graveyard shift, he always had a fresh pot ready and waiting. He'd indulge in friendly gossip and be sure to put a smile on anyone's face.
Apium loved Roux dearly, even if he was a bit delusional when it came to coffee curing ailments. They took care in raising their hatchlings together, ensuring that each one was given the opportunity to fully indulge in Roux's love of a good espresso. The couple enjoyed bickering playfully in their native tongue, putting on quite a show for any friends and family within earshot. There were never any mean intentions, and the two always ended their squabbles in cuddles and the preening of feathers.

Notes
- Roux is mostly hyper-active due to his coffee consumption. When Apium requests that he back off the caffeine for a little bit, he tends to go into a short hibernation, lasting a few days. The clan is both relieved for his well-being, but distressed over the lack of fresh coffee being made.
