DOLORES To be dead isn't so bad, nothing ever changes... Undead/Hatchling Permanent by rororat When her heart had a beat It had all started out as a normal day playing with a little ball of moss and feathers. As a member of a powerful clan and being raised by the clans leader, Dolores had a target written all over her back but thankfully she was always under heavy protection. A nocturne assassin however had used her mimicking tricks to get Dolores alone...and the last thing the young hatchling saw was a dragon with a cruel snarl towering over her. In life she was cheerful, curious, and full of energy. It wasn't uncommon to find her running around with the biggest grin a wildclaw could have!

When the beat stopped Dolores couldn't feel anything besides the hollowness inside her...What happened? Where was Mommy? Daddy? She tried to get up but it just felt so wrong. Opening her eyes was like trying to lift a full grown unwilling imperial. When she finally managed to get them wide enough to look around she was even more confused. This..this wasnt a garden..or even anywhere in her home....Home....Tears filled her eyes at the thought before she started crying out for anyone....but no one came. Her mind was a scramble as she tried to remember what had happened previously....She...heard mama call for her....then there was a nocturne..and she...she.... It hit her like a ton of bricks....She was dead. Death....Mother had told her about it. When a dragon moved on they went to serve the deity in their efforts. Loved ones from the past would welcome them and help them settle in but no one was here? In fact...this looked like a forest that neither gladekeeper or shadowbinder would lay claim too. Someone had stolen her life.....and now she had been robbed of any remaining hope? Why? What had she done wrong?

Dolores can only stay on the physical world for a certain amount of time before she needs to regain energy. To regain energy she sleeps and fades away but will no doubt return. When in the physical world she can hurt and attack other dragons but can take damage herself. She refuses to return to her former home because she doesn't want her former family to know of her fate. When in her 'adult' form she resembles what she would have looked like..mostly. Her legs, arm, neck, and head are bones that are covered in a soft blue flame. When like this she is bitter, distrustful, quick to attack, and angry. She shows no trust to any adults, hatchlings on the other hand is where she lets her guard down. When alone with some she will calm down and start to act like her true self and actually fully take on the appearance of her hatchling self. However it is possible for an adult to get on her good side and calm her wraith. Talking about family, telling a story, or singing a song are a few ways.

Her weaknesses include silver, salt, and she has a panic inducing fear of nocturnes. If cut by a silver weapon while in her physical form she is unable to collect energy making her vulnerable until the effects fade in roughly 5 hours...If she is killed in physical...she ceases to exist. She is also unable to attack anyone she knew in her life....including her killer in a sick twist of fate.
