Jackdaw

Born in the icy, unforgiving peaks of The Fortress, Jackdaw was named after the natural lights that danced in the sky, 'Borealis'. Strangely for an ice dragon, he detested the cold and snow, and as soon as he grew out of his hatchling days, he planned to leave his lair and travel. His lair tried to keep him from leaving, and delayed his travels multiple times, and he grew restless. When he voiced his plans, his family encouraged that he serve the Icewarden instead of playing out selfish desires. By the time he did leave the frigid mountains, he had a decent rebellious streak splitting through him.

He traveled through the Ashfall Waste, taking his time as he crossed the land. He made his way by pilfering food and breaking into lairs for treasure and chests. He got tangled up in a few minor brawls, and learned how to fight well in just a few months. One day, he broke into a chest and accidentally activated a Guardian breed scroll, changing him into what he is today. He changed his name to Jackdaw and wound up in the Tsunami flats.

Here he began his life of piracy. He joined a small gang of other self-proclaimed pirates, terrorizing the seas. He was set on this lifestyle, until one day he spotted the beautiful Ula on the shore of the Fishspine Reefs. He was nearly instantly smitten, and upon meeting her decided that nothing of his previous life held a candle to her. It took virtually nothing from her to convince him to give up his dangerous lifestyle to be with her. He left his friends, his endless treasure, and his love of the ocean to follow her dreams, taking only the apparel on his back.

He doesn't get along with anyone. He resents his own children for joining the arcanist, he dislikes most of Kasatkas Keep. Everyone has learned to put up with him, but no one likes him. Ula is the only one who can soften him.

Jackdaw will follow his Ula to the ends of Sornieth.
