Rin is an older dragon, but dragons do not reach the ranks of Elder for many, many years - she is meerly old in contrast to her clan. Rin is an orphan, meaning both of her parents have been exalted to serve deities. Additionally, all but 3 of her 24 children have been either exalted to serve the gods or left as wards, dragons who have been abandoned by their clan and are out of energy in a deep sleep.

...but he's at 0/50 health, in a deep sleep, like the rest of his clan-mates. the entire lair is monochrome; so they all look like statues frozen in time. here's a screenshot:
