Notes from the monarchs: [Parem]: "Celyn is Chare's hatchmate and one of our first clutch. She is much quieter than her sister and will spend ages peering critically into your eyes. Who knows what she's thinking about... Because Chare has expressed an interest in travelling off to serve the Windsinger in battle someday, Celyn here is Suspen's heiress-in-training, despite being the younger of the two. She will hopefully never have to serve as matriarch to our clan, skies willing, but will be able to if Suspen ever meets an unfortunate end by illness or injury." [Suspen]: "Ah, Celyn. The milder of my two firstborn daughters, she has long been a thinker and a dreamer. Ever since she was a tiny kit, she loved listening to grand epics of old and imagining herself in place of the heroes she coveted. Despite this, she takes her role as heir apparent quite seriously, and devotes herself rigorously to training and learning all that she can about leadership. She hasn't been the same since her mate went off to serve his duty under the Windsinger's banner though... And her sister's exaltation was just the final straw. Perhaps it is time we discuss a flying tour of Sorineth, if only to clear her head. |

Celyn's Notebook: Entry 1: Today I leave Xemas. I'm not sure where the winds will take me, only time will tell, but I hope I can learn as much as I can while I am away. I was present when they silenced my chime... traditionally, only the dead and exalted have their genealogy chimes silenced, but traditionally no one permanantly leaves Xemas except by death and exaltation... It was a strange process. They didn't know what color cloth to use. Red is for the exalted, fighters mostly. And black is for the dead, those who no longer reside on this plane. Eventually they settled on matching it to my wings. I will use the leftover cloth as a cloak. It will help me remember. Perhaps I will meet my family again, somewhere along in my travels... |
