Celestia

Abandoned by her clan when she was only an egg, the egg was found by two young centaurs, who both agreed to raise her. Both centaurs tended to her while teaching her the magic involved with lightning, seeing as it was where her elemental loyalties lie. After spending only a few short years with her parents, however, her mother fell ill, and died. Though longing to stay with the remaining centaur who raised her, Celestia was sent away to form her own clan and start her own family, though she does occasionally search for her father in an attempt to protect the kind centaur from other dragon clans.

Arriving in the draconic territory in The Shifting Expanse, Celestia began to find a way to start her own clan, and starting her own identity among the dragon world. Due to the influence of her considered parents, namely her father, who was kind beyond words and overly emotional, she finds it easier to express her emotions than most Fae to other dragons, though it causes her to have difficulties interacting with her own kind. Though she is loyal to the Stormcatcher, she is sympathetic to the centaurs and other members of the Beastclans, and only pits members of her clans against them when she must, preferring to fight other dragons instead. Though she has children, she has not yet found a current mate despite taking an interest in a young Pearlcatcher in the clan, though she has found a special, familial, connection with Cormag, a second dragon raised by centaurs who seemed to be familiar with the two who raised her as well.

When it comes to her clan, potentially due to her being abandoned as a child, and partially due to her mother's overprotective personality being passed onto her, Celestia is fiercely overprotective of anybody who tries to hurt members of her clan, and will stop at nothing to prevent anybody who attacks with hostile intentions. This can result in her being strict at times when it comes to keeping them safe, though in daily clan life, the matriarch can be a lot less serious, choosing to try to pair off her clanmates, most of her teasing coming at Nina's and Nick's expense, who she sees as siblings.
