Gaius

The real agent of deception, he is the clan's first and last line of offence. Gaius is charming, affable, gentlemanly, and professional. Judging by his handsome dress, bright colors, kindness, and humorous tales, he is an excellent character and a remarkable catch of a friend.

And that is entirely the point.

Working together with Siamese, it's his job to dig up dirt on the clan's enemies and to dig out ditches to bury their bodies after they become too obstructive. The lair's true assassin and spy, he acts like a diplomat but is a cold-blooded killer. His motivation appears to be gold, but he may have a hidden agenda of his own.

He was hatched on the same day with his "sister", Marusa. She's somewhat of a morality pet for him, keeping him in sanity checks and allowing him to become attached to his hatch family. He isn't looking for the identity his real parents because he has everything he could ever want right where he is. Besides, if he did ever meet them, he'd probably kill them for abandoning him.

Gaius likes to tell stories, drink fine beverages, and warm hugs. The whole "Born a Tundra" story gets to his targets every time. He dislikes impostors, poor dress, and familiars. The hainu he keeps around is more of a watch dog than an actual pet or friend and would rather not have it around.
