Biography
Mythos, The Soothsayer.
You spot Mythos slinking through the some of the brush around the bottom of the cliff, sniffing and scratching at the dirt. It seems like he's looking for something. Maybe some herbs? Suddenly, he turns to you and just... stares. He proceeds to stare at you through his bird-skull mask for what could've been a minute or an hour, unblinking and unmoving. Just as you're considering running in the opposite direction, he tilts his head to the side and begins to approach. He stands in front of you for a few more seconds before beginning to speak, his voice somewhat hushed, even though there is nobody else within earshot. "Well, you're new." He stops to think for a moment, before bowing (albeit a little clumsily, but the sentiment is there) and clearing his throat, before speaking once more, his voice a lot more 'normal' than it was a second ago. "My name is Mythos. I hope your time here is enjoyable." Before you can say anything in reply, he turns and goes back to scratching at the scrub, the many charms and trinkets that adorn him clinking together as he does so.
Mythos is the clan's resident medium, and he is also a skilled fortune teller. He has the unique ability to summon the souls of deceased dragons to converse with or to communicate with their loved ones through him. This has proven to be both a blessing and a curse to him, as there have been multiple times where spirits with a more malicious intent have tried to possess him and have wrought havoc (hence his missing eye). He carries many charms with him to ward off evil, but nothing has proved completely effective as of yet. He spends a lot of time travelling in search of a charm or spell that will provide him proper protection. His den is also full of various charms and trinkets to keep away spirits with malicious intent, but it isn't always effective. There have been several incidents since Mythos joined the clan. His clanmates often wonder about the mysterious cauldron constantly bubbling in his den, as Mythos is no alchemist. Unbeknownst to them, Mythos just really enjoys soup.
Mythos is often described by those who do not know him well as serious and quiet, when in actual fact he is quite friendly and talkative towards those he knows well. He left his home in Plague flight at an early age to wander the land, pursuing his interests as best he could. He never spent long in one place. Mythos would only stay long enough to gather whatever information he could find. That was, until he came upon the Clan of Crimson Whisperers. He settled down (after some convincing from Balthasar) and set up shop as a fortune teller (and occasional medium). Most dragons tend to keep their distance, unless they need something from him. Despite the rumors, Mythos is quite an easygoing dragon and likes to joke around a lot. He is good friends with Kronos and they converse quite often, as Mythos' ability to speak with spirits allows him to help Kronos gain access to information he wouldn't usually even dream of having.
