Serino

Traits:
Regretful, Proud, Duty-Bound

Born an Imperial, Serino grew up and trained as a knight in a heavenly city high above the clouds. She took to her duties as a knight immediately and quickly rose in rank above her comrades until she was given the title of paladin. As such, many members of the knighted court trusted her with immense responsibility to make decisions and protect the city. Life was good, until the city was attacked by forces not even Serino could defeat.

During the seemingly hopeless battle, Serino was struck and wounded deeply by an enemy and she began to sink into the clouds she was once able to walk upon. Farther and farther she sank until she fell beneath the cloud-line, plummeting to the earth's surface. As she fell, she began to change, and only barely was she able to spread her wings and save herself from an otherwise fatal descent. When she awoke after her crash landing, Serino was horrified to discover she was no longer the Imperial she once was, but a Pearlcatcher.

Believing she'd been cursed in some way, Serino now seeks to right the wrongs that happened to her and return home, no matter the cost.

Funfacts:

• Serino is still able to shapeshift into her original Imperial form, but she can't maintain the form permanently.
• Besides her clothes, her Spellbound Tome is the only other thing she has from home that serves as proof the city above the clouds exists. Even if few believe her story.
