Evan rises from a rippling sea of ornate pillows. He is smaller than average for a male imperial, more lithe and wiry; his scales shine like they've captured the moon inside each of their ridges. The imperial drifts across the tiles of the temples, warm and serene.

"Welcome, child." He murmurs, his voice a soft spool of warmth. "Make yourself at home. What is it you need?"

He woke up to white, cold snow, lethargic and stiff. He rose from the snow, a great behemoth of rippling, crystalline ice. His scales glistened in the cold light of the sun as the ice on them melted.

The sun cut through the last of the blizzard and faded to clear skies. He opened his eyes and squinted at the sun, beautiful and glorious. He heard the distant call of the Icewarden's voice as he was born from the ice, but the thin, lithe shape of the Lightweaver curled over the clouds in the first clear sky of many, many days, and he was entranced by her glory.

He traveled through the ice, following the thrum of her voice and the warmth of her glow, wanting her warmth, so much warmer than the Icewarden's cold embrace. He took to the sky after her, weaved through the skies until he made it to the ruins of a great, human castle. He heard her voice. It was all around him, louder than his patron diety that he had been birthed under.

The imperial settled down by the ruins and started to work. As he listened to the gentle hum of the Lightweaver, it was here that he would build the foundations of a great city meant to protect dragon kind from the dark forces that threatened to consume dragon kind's land once more.
