The armor-clad dragon regards you with an air of suspicion. He stands between you and the door to The Great Library. Was this not just any library?

"What do you need?" He barks, more a command than a question. The tip of his tail twitches. From deep inside the library, a soft, warm voice chastises him with an air of amusement.

Bruno looks only slightly miffed, the voice seeming to calm him. With a snort, he allows you to pass.

He clawed his way out of the lava of a great volcano, woken by the sound of the World Pillar shattering. The imperial caught a glimpse of the Firebreather as she took to her new lands, a great mass of strength. He watched her figure until the lava cooled and hardened against his scales, trapping the flames around him inside their rich, dark orange color.

For several days he wandered through the Molten Scar, alone and curious of the lava floes and ash around him. He bathed in the lava at night, drawn to it's heat in the cold. One day, he heard a warm voice of the Lightweaver, the God that created him. He looked up and saw not the Lightweaver, but a thin, lithe imperial as it flew across the sky.

The sun caught in the imperial's scales and shone like starlight against it's sky colored scales. It was the first time he'd seen another imperial just like him.

He followed the imperial's trail through the sky, over the shifting expanse, to the Sunbeam Ruins where they would eventually meet, pledging their lives not only to each other, but to holding up the Lightweaver's banner in their fight against the dark forces that threaten to destroy dragonkind.
