Biography
a dragon of wisdom and heart . . . All about knowledge and learning, her entire life has been dedicated to the art of record keeping, both in the physical medium and in her mind. Any question one could ask, Pumpkin strives to have the answer on the tip of her tongue. This means she is often times more absorbed in her books than in talking to other dragons, but that doesn't mean she dislikes their company. It just means that she needs a bit more time between social outings to recharge. Despite the social inhibitions she has, there is a lot of love in her heart. She would do anything for her fellow dragons and shows it through her actions. Disputes are quickly resolved with her soft words and kind eyes. It is exactly this reason why so many dragons are fond of her and easily follow her leadership. Though there have been several mates in her past, Pumpkin has yet to settle with any one dragon for long. Her studious nature and the enduring curiosity for what is beyond the horizon or under unturned stones keeps her at a bit of an emotional distance. Her friends keep her enough company to stave off any loneliness she may feel about lacking a mate. Running a library and keeping all of her clan members in line is a full time job as well that is almost always keeping her busy. |
Then . . .
Born to a vain mother and a nomadic father, Pumpkin spent many of her early years on a quest to find herself. Despite the lack of present parental figures in her life, or perhaps because of it, she developed many secretive behaviors. The library of her first clan became her hideaway, comforting her in the dusty smell of old books. By the time she was old enough to strike out on her own she had already consumed the entire library twice and was on her third pass. The ability to keep all that knowledge organized in her mind undoubtedly led to her success on her own.
Travel didn't suit her well, and eventually she came to rest in the realm of the Gladekeeper where she met two struggling leaders of a small clan. With all the knowledge of a Light Clan's library at her clawtips, Pumpkin set to helping the small clan. It was many years down the road that Pumpkin ended up taking over the clan from the two leaders. While they stayed behind with a few members under the guide of the Gladekeeper, Pumpkin brought the rest of them to the realm of the Lightweaver.
Now . . .
In this new adventure, Pumpkin and her trusted inner circle have migrated to a ruin outside of the Hewn City. Nestled at the base of a cliff and beneath tree cover, the clan has become the keepers of a small library. Despite now living in the Lightweaver's territory they maintain their Gladekeeper's memories in their names. The EchoFlower Librarians are a well known stop in any adventurers book. Not only do they keep meticulous records of the happenings within their clan, they also keep records of weather, travelers, and the mysteries of the Hewn City.
Pumpkin is no longer alone in her journey for knowledge. She has many dragons with her who both yearn to know more about the world and about themselves. Of course, not everything is as it seems. Some of the dragons in the EchoFlower Librarian clan have little love of knowledge and more love of brute strength. Every clan needs warriors to protect them, though Pumpkin does wish they didn't have to be so uncouth.
