Bartholomew lives for the thrill of battle. His enthusiasm and skill are well-respected within the clan, especially considering his young age. Few dragons have the mettle to venture into battle alone, even if they have the technique; Bartholomew has mettle enough for a full team. Many dragons come to Clan Shikoire to receive training in combat. Bartholomew takes these dragons to the wild marshes of the Mire to teach them. No one yet has given a bad review of Bartholomew's expertise.

His gentle and bubbly demeanor belies his fondness for battle. As respected as he is, Bartholomew is well-loved by many. He's known to hand gifts to strangers and friends alike at random, give generous praises of those he crosses paths with, or sing happily as he goes about his day. He is so amicable that Alhena, the clan's ambassador, will often make sure that important guests meet Bartholomew as early as possible in their visit.

Most of his free time (time not spent training dragons or out on contracts for other clans) is spent either in the Mirrored Corridor, trying out Sornieth's latest fashions, or spent with his mate. Their bond is one of great rumor among other dragons. Seraph is formiddable and foreboding, and few dragons have the nerve to talk freely to him... Yet Bartholomew is always happiest in the older dragon's company.
