Biography

"We're in the middle of balancing some very delicate energies, you'll have to go out and find yourself a new clan. Hunting is good in packs. Ah and send goats."

Not the most helpful. Where was he supposed to find goats? Or a pack to hunt in if he wasn't welcome in the 'balance of delicate energies'? The mirror had walked down to the shore, wings drooping and curled up in the white sands, nearly invisible despite the brilliant blues under the sandy crackle on his hide. Perhaps something would walk by. Perhaps a goat. Though he was hungry, so he wasn't sure he'd send it back home. Not that it was his home anymore now that he was a grown dragon.

The mirror woke to a spray of sand hitting him in the face and the hissing of draconic laughter. Shaking his head he sat up to see a glorious sight, a pack of blue crystalline mirrors! They seemed to be involved in a complex game with a pair of glimmering spirals. They made the mirror feel dull in comparison to their brilliance and he sunk down again without a word, he wouldn't fit into their pack. But he had been spotted and the game halted. An azure mirror asked, "What are you doing ALONE? What is your name? I am Sao." Mirrors did not like to be alone. It distressed him seeing one sitting there. But perhaps they had wandered a bit into arcane territory in their play and everyone knew arcane dragons were odd.

The other dragons trickled over and feeling particularly stared at, the mirror answered, "I was hunting and my parents didn't quite get around to naming me..." The Wind dragons all glanced at each other. Arcane dragons were so odd. Another azure crystal mirror who faded to purple insisted, "I'm Lucky, and you were hunting Alone?" The mirror had to admit he was between clans at the moment. A bit nervously too though Wind dragons did have a friendly reputation.

One of the glimmering spirals spun gleefully, "Easily fixed! Lets see you were blending in quite well here. You match the water, lovely water for water. Not like my gold, but not everyone can be golden. That bit on your shoulder looks like light through the waves and your wings match the sand pretty well. How about we name you for the Bay? Oh yes, I am Pyrite." The mirror looked around and shrugged, "What is the Bay called?" For some reason that made all the Wind dragons look at each other before one green winged spiral female firmly announced, "WindStar Bay." Really, it practically was. Surely they'd convince Arcane dragons of the fact any time now.

The mirror, WindStar, nodded and mumbled thanks. The Wind dragons began to filter off and he hunched once more into the sand. Only to moments later be sprayed with a wash of sand as an aqua crystal mirror who hadn't introduced himself rushed up and stopped suddenly, "Well? Aren't you coming? We've got to get back to our side of the Bay." WindStar blinked, "Coming?" Lucky darted up with Sao, "Hurry we're going to loose to those noodles!" Sao laughed, "You needed a clan as well as a name didn't you?" Then muscles bunching his powerful shoulders, he raced off with another spray of sand, Lucky hot on his tail. WindStar looked around as if for help and then said to the air, "Well.. yes." He shook off the sand and then ran as fast as he could to catch up wondering if these crazy dragons could just do that... but he wasn't going to sit around wondering how welcome he really was, hunting was best done in packs after all!

With time, WindStar became one of the clan's best warriors, and is most often seen training new dragons to fight. Now he has a vital place in the clan and knows he is needed, and his charming smile is full of confidence... and sharp teeth. Some of the mirrors he first met moved on to other clans, but he still races the sands with Sao, and visits the depressed bogsneak Pyrite.
