Fennec
Flirty, resourceful, gentle, charming, and charismatic.
"Once you've charmed yourself, the rest of the world isn't too far behind."

Fennec was born in the ashfall waste after his father shared a nest with a very flirtatious pearlcatcher. His two sisters, both pearlcatchers, were left in the care of their mother, but Fennec's father felt a fondness for him since he was the only tundra of the clutch and took him along with him on his travels. Fennec never saw his mother or sisters again, but he spent a year travelling with his father and learning the ins and outs of trading. Once they reached the shifting expanse, his father made the choice to join the ranks of the stormcatcher, passing on his accumulated wealth to his son. Fennec was never certain why he chose that flight, out of all of them, but he moved on quickly, searching for a home of his own.
It wasn't long before he travelled north to find the Sunbeam Ruins, and he encountered Solstice while the mirror was hunting on his own. He returned with him, choosing to join his clan because he had no where else to go, and it wasn't long before Ash also chose to stay and they bumped into each other for the first time. He was smitten- and she was disgusted. It was a massive blow when Fennec realized she wasn't charmed by his good looks or deep pockets- he'd never experienced rejection before, and he realized for the first time in his life that perhaps there was more to love than quick flings and shallow attraction. After that, he set to work- at first it was simply to win her heart, but after a while it became nice to be kind to others, and he found himself detesting that insufferable, self-important side of him that had been his go-to for his entire life. To his surprise, she actually began to warm up to him, and although she still likes to act like she has the upper hand, Fennec is completely confident that she's as in love with him as he is with her. He quite enjoys surprising her from behind with quick kisses on the cheek or hugs from behind, and he loves the indignant blush she always ends up with before she quickly pushes him away.
He never would have imagined when he was younger that he would end up this happy. He always assumed that travelling and money would keep him fulfilled forever, but until he met Ash he didn't realize what he'd been missing. He likes to think it's the same for her, even if she'd never admit it. He's satisfied with his life, and he wouldn't trade it for the world.

Fennec quite enjoys collecting fish he finds in lakes and streams and adding them to his growing fish tank, especially ones that are gold, his favourite colour. He also loves warm, sandy beaches.
Since he's a fire dragon he dislikes the cold and winter- he gets sluggish and lethargic when it's not warm. He also can't handle being sick, and even a simple cold makes him miserable.
As the clan's treasurer, he manages the assets and money that flow in and out of the vault. He also likes to paint when he gets the chance, though he's not very good at it.
