chryseis was born into royalty, sheltered from the life of excitement she truly wished for.
her curious mind was never satisfied with being forbidden to explore the caves and ancient landscape of dragonhome. it’s secrets and history have intrigued her for years, but her family has kept chryseis hidden away due to her affliction. the feathers and bizarre mushrooms that grow relentlessly were always seen as a blight upon her royal features by her court.

but there was only so much she could take. if they could not accept her for who she was, then was there no reason to stay.

chryseis travelled alone for a time, dressing herself proudly and donning a plague-inspired mask. strange looks were thrown her way, but she had decided to never be ashamed again.

excited as she was about the new stage in her life, she still spent some time watching the crystal coven from afar. the freedom in their activities but close-knit sense of community interested chryseis greatly, as she had grown tired of a nomadic lifestyle. she was ready to make new friendships.

she didn’t join the clan until circei approached her directly with a knowing look in her eye. of course, the magical sensors around the clan’s territory had detected her after repeated activity. even just hearing about such spells fascinated chryseis. circei assured her that she could develop her abilities - as was highly encouraged in such a coven.

from then on, both her confidence and skills improved vastly. nowadays, chryseis is seen as a spokesperson for the coven. when she isn’t exploring the various regions of sornieth, she can be found organising and planning at circei’s side. the clan’s activities span a great range, and someone needs to ensure its sustainability.
