Biography
The Dark Prophet
Although he is Arcane born, he does not claim them as his kind. He claims no element, having wandered and lived in all the world's domains, preaching his word. But nothing can compare to his time spent in the Wyrmwound.
In the Scarred Wasteland he starved. Just a young hatchling and already he was alone and fighting for his life. He wandered for years, scavenging and taking what he could to survive. Beastclans and the environment left him scarred and torn, hardly even recognizable as a dragon anymore. After years of wandering and clinging to life he saw it. The Wyrmwound, its gaping maw of disease and roiling filth. He moved closer, hoping that whatever diseases it contained would kill him quickly and end his suffering. As he peered over the edge, he expected to see just liquid disease churning inside the gaping hole. But he saw so much more. Much of what he saw defied comprehension, as if what remained of his sanity was shielding him from the horrors brewing beneath. He saw death, destruction, war, and future events he hoped would come to pass long after his death. Whether these visions were truly prophetic, the work of some new disease, or hallucinations derived from his own mental anguish will likely never be known, but in that moment it was enough to drive him over the edge. With a roar, he cast himself into the Wyrmwound.
The few moments he spent in the liquid waste of the Wyrmwound felt like a thousand years of suffering. He clawed his way out of the pit with all the force he could muster, and emerged a different dragon entirely.
His form now resembled that of a monster, with gaping holes dripping ooze, and teeth, limbs and eyes where they shouldn't be. His head was screaming with new revelations and prophecies. Despite the insanity and delirium roaring in his brain, he had one final moment of clarity. This cursed life he'd been given, from the every start, was a blessing in disguise. His suffering and pain was not for naught. Now, he knew Truth. Others must know Truth and the future that awaits them all.
From that day forward he has traveled the lands, preaching of this cursed time to come and all that has been revealed to him by the glorious Wyrmwound. But the fear and panic that ensued when others saw him and his cursed, twisted form created more harm to his cause than good. So he covered himself, hiding what he saw as a great blessing from the eyes of others. He currently resides in the Starfall Isles, claiming that the mysterious and powerful energies that have drawn him here are destined to be a part of the Great Truth. Many cannot understand what he speaks of, but those who do realize they have never felt true fear until their own moment of clarity.
