Biography

- Former princess and heir to the largest reigning ice clan on the northern half of the Icewarden's substantial territory.

Nirn was born to the rulers and monarchs of the clan; the pair not only wanted a fitting heir, but wanted a perfect tool. While still an egg, she was ritually imbued with enhancing magics, in an attempt to create a genetically advanced and super powerful dragon. The result was more successful than anyone could have ever thought possible, as when the frigid shell of her egg cracked and revealed the perfect weapon her parents so desired...she was not alone. Back to back with the young mirror was a tiny imperial hatchling, a brother.

Shocked by the unforeseen miracle of the fraternal twins, the royal couple decided to ignore the tiny male's weakness and underdevelopment in favor of seeing if his unknown potential would blossom with time. After a cursory period of examination to see if he would survive, he was named Oberon, and sent to a restricted ward of the castle for further observations.

Upon testing the full extent of newborn Nirn's astounding mental and physical capabilities, she was immediately isolated from all hatchlings and dragons, save for her parents and the select few dragons involved in her upbringing. Experiencing no sort of childhood or life of her own, the young mirror was grown and trained to be a weapon, bringing swift death upon anyone who opposed her clan... or her parents leadership. Throughout this training, an unwavering and unquestioning loyalty was near-brainwashed into her, and her conscience and independent thought were severely impacted. Though not much is disclosed about the means of Nirn's life and "training", it is known that it was violent, cold, and separate from any friendly or familial relation.

Nirn was exactly as her parents planned, wicked smart, deadly, quick, and with no will of her own. Through the use of their new tool, their reign flourished, and no resistance could be heard of.

However, near the dawn of her maturity, a seemingly inconsequential encounter caused a chain of events that changed the entire kingdom.
On her way back from the assassination of a council member who had whispered of overthrow,
Nirn crossed paths with a procession of the most ethereal sort. Gliding through the courtyard with an otherwordly grace was a lavishly dressed imperial with a calm air surrounding him. Having not seen or heard of the arrival of an important guest, Nirn's curiosity was immediately piqued.

Unbeknownst to Nirn, the imperial she shared a conversation with that day was her brother, Oberon. Shortly after their birth and separation, Oberon had gained the gift of foresight and clairvoyance, and was kept isolated and alone, treated more like an object than a sentient being. Throughout his imprisonment, he watched Nirn from afar, living for the chance to meet and help his twin from her dangerous path. After many afternoon walks and morning teas talking to this mysterious imperial she felt such a connection to, Oberon finally told her the truth of his lineage.

With Oberon's aid, the young mirror found herself and finally started to fill the emptiness left by her upbringing. Oberon as well, finally found happiness in finally being able to have a relationship with the sister he had watched for so long.
Together they decided to leave their so-called parents, and abandon the kingdom all together. The twins left to forge their own path, and to live their own adventures together. They never looked back.

Shortly after the twins escape, a coup was staged, and the ruthless king and queen were executed.
