As the oldest son of the head of the clan guard Aria, Ryu takes his position very seriously. He has over-exaggerated his parents' expectations in his head though and in an attempt to satisfy them, always pushes himself to the limit. His mindset causes him to try an act like someone he's not, making him uptight and often stressed. His partner Lazuli brings out the best in him though, keeping him from burning himself out.
