Dimitra is a witch, a shadow-witch to be specific. She loves pranking others, usually by tripping them with a shadow, or tapping them on one shoulder only to appear on their other side. No one sure how she does this, as she's incredibly large. She's quite stocky, even for an imperial, and has a strange ability to blend into the shadows even if it's only a tiny patch. She's very sweet, and loves meeting with other witches and swapping magical information.

She is the Professor of Charms at BioMagica Academy, the Magical University of the Nature Flight. It is a great job and she loves it. It's Magic ALL DAY LONG. She spends a lot of time with her friend Woody, or WildEyed Woody as the kids call him. He is an Auror and is mated to Diopside, who is Melancholy's BFF. (Melancholy being Morgan's Mother. Morgan being Dimitra's BFF) It's a big clan, but there is a lot of intermarrying and it can get complicated.

In many clans children all leave to find new homes as soon as they reach adulthood, but a higher number than the norm stay with the Clan of the Great Family. Also, the traveling clan- The Sylvan Wayfarers often trade with Dimitra's clan and there is a lot of intermarrying between the two clans and some dragons from one clan will go with the other on reaching adulthood. so it's TRULY the Clan of the Great Family, but the ideology is that once you join the clan, no matter who you are, where you come from, where you have been, or whatever your flight, once you join you ARE family.

Dimitra had gembond from childhood which was a soft pink, but when she was embarrassed (often) would glow from within and heat up, making her more self conscious and she would lose all track of what she was trying to say. Once she had joined the clan and the others realized how much this bothered her, the best magical minds came together and worked out a truly complicated spell to fix the issue. Together they helped her work it and her gembond turned to magical runes which prevented her from future infection with gembond and boosts her self-confidence every time she gets embarrassed and her skin starts to heat up. Not only is she more confident- the runes look very attractive on her, which she loves.

Conversely, if you've met a dragon sketching out possible new mutations in Sornieth, new beastclans yet to be discovered, or possible aberrations in reality they call 'bugs' you've probably met a Monera Scientist. More dependable, if no less eccentric, Monera Scientists make excellent chemists and biologists. Find these dragons renting out their superior Baldwin cauldrons, prophesying new breeds and genes, and designing new familiars that are moments from being created, they swear. It is said that huge genetic events, like the surge of new colors appearing randomly, or the rise of the Nocturne dragons were predicted by Monera scientists ages before they happened.

Natural introverts, they rarely rise to prominence in their communities, but those who find themselves worthy of these dragons company are better for it. If a flight is going to war with another, Monera Dragons know the causation and the events leading up to it. If there's a festival, Monera will know its origins and history. And if you need a book, Monera...may or may not lend it to you, they tend to be very particular about that.

Noted alumni include Baldwin the potion brewer and Belzaar the scrying workshop soothsayer.
