Ashwinder

The sun blazes down on you as you stumble over yet another dune. Parched and weary you gaze out into the endless sea of sand begging for relief. That's when you hear it, a soft rumble and the gentle sound of what seems to be bells. The sound of hope for a possible rescue. Strength floods your veins as you race forward over a dune and start sliding down the other side dodging jagged rocks in your glee. To late to hear the bells turn to gleeful cries. To late to see what you thought were rocks moving. To late to stop yourself from falling in her gapping maw. She sinks into the sand silently until there is nothing left. Not of her, nor of you in the burning sands.
