______ Apeaceful as Clan Valtinne strives to be, Andaulis is stubborn about maintaining a set of guards. There are still dangers in the Cloudscrape Crags that cannot be nullified by diplomacy alone, and require the usage of a well-aimed Eliminate. The Frostmaw, headed by Iodine, are the ones assigned to the task. Joining is voluntary, and requires permission from either Salphir, Ivoryfang, or Andaulis.

______ One of the first hatchlings born on clan grounds, Iodine was the son of two travelling alchemists. While the two eventually left to pursue other interests, their son elected to remain in the place of his birth. At first, he had no interest in learning about battle, but with the arrival of more dragons led to an increased need for defense that could not be filled by the older dragons alone. Iodine stepped up to the task, along with two others, Vherzarl and Ieieran, and began their training. While not as physically capable as the others, Iodine showed proficiency in leading and organizing, and became the de facto leader of the group. Under his leadership, the Frostmaw became more efficient, now able to rival the experience and power of an old warrior like Andaulis through careful planning.

______ Currently, Iodine oversees the training of the Frostmaw’s precious few recruits, though he does join his fellow squadmates on the field occasionally.
