If you follow the footprints in the sand, right where the waves lap against the shore, you might find Turquoise. If you listen very closely to the rumbling and crashing of the sea, you might hear him humming as he walks.

Trapped in stone like all the other Geodes, he lay encased for years. But unlike the others, his dreams were touched but he waking world. Salt water percolated through the stone, cooling and soothing. The crash and whoosh of waves sweeping in and receding was his constant companion. It mirrored his own slow breathing and led him into a state of peaceful meditation and contemplation.

Those waves wore away the stone with time, until the day it crumbled away and he took his first slow steps in the warm sand. He smiled in the sunshine and set off, growing steadier as he went. Plodding along the beach, raising his voice to sing to the sea that filled him with its own song in the long, empty years. His voice grew stronger too, and to listen to him, it almost feels as if he and the waves are one, rising and falling in harmony.

He gathers beach glass as he wanders, from the coastline all around Sornieth. He doesn't remember the time before he was encased in stone, but he doesn't need to. He is perfectly at peace with his life. Amethyst tracked him down and offered a home with their clan, which he graciously accepted. He barely stays, but over a series of infrequent visits he has moved his treasure from the cliff-side cracks and crevices where they were stored, and his room in the Snastle as his own overflows with piles of hoarded seaglass.

On one such visit he met Aventurine, one of the only dragons to truly understand his wandering nature. The two are very fond of each other, and while they don't speak of their relationship much, both will go very far out of their way to ensure their paths cross often, he on his beachside wanderings and her on her mercantile travels. Marelle the Apatite Fisher

This elegant crane began following Turquoise around as he traversed his favorite region to collect shinies in; the Crystal Pools. As he turned over rocks on his steady journey along the shore, tiny fish and little crabs are inevitably startled out of hiding. Marelle noticed, and decided it was an easy way to find a feed. The two have become inseparable. During the day, they wander along together, her trilling birdsong intertwining with his tune, and by night she snuggles down in the dip between his shoulder blades for a sleep as he wanders ever onward... 		13433.png
