Biography
An effortless life is not something you can procure out of chokingly thick air;
But a sturdy resolve will guide your life towards the distant sunset.

Now... Since his arrival to Fumbles' clan, he's locked himself away in the confines of the underground library George has built. For short periods of time, he will surface, usually for food or trinkets, and sometimes to attempt conversation. He never gets more than a near-silent noise out before slipping away into the catacombs again. When he feels overwhelmed, and that's almost always, he secludes himself to the confines of his own little area all for himself, specially arranged by the Snapper. He appreciates all that the old dragon does for him, but he's still too nervous to say thank you, let alone give him his name. But he is grateful. Sometimes, Dii will descend the steps and go sit with the coatl, showing him how to create potions and other magical bits and baubles. She knows he's very much interested in these things, even if he hardly ever shows it. In an act of kindness, she gave him a swirling familiar, small and strange. He, of course, was horrified at first, but she assured him the magical creature was completely harmless. The tri-swirling orbs of fire, water, and ice, took to him fondly, and he warmed up to having three colorful orbs hopping by his tail. 6/21/16 - The day he finally spoke, it was to George. George was busy rummaging through new books to store in the library, and the coatl tapped him on the shoulder. George, always knowing when the coatl had something important to acknowledge, looked over at him, asking "What is it you need, my apprentice?" The coatl let out a sigh, gently answering, "My n...name. Bren...ion." George smiled, "Thank you for sharing your first chapter with me, Brenion. You have many more chapters left to go, and your story has taken a very pleasant path. Let's work together to give it the happiest of endings." The coatl finally felt a sense of happiness, and his overwhelming fear became no more than just a memory. 9/20/23 - The sudden departure of George and Korrokk was swift and shocking. Korrokk had been itching to find their right home for years, and it was time. They left silently in the night, leaving a neat bundle of their old things in Fumbles' and Fryse's quarters. They knew it was time, and they understood. George, growing old and tired, took his leave within the library, sleeping soundly on his old stump. The Earthshaker spoke to him in the night, offering him a place to watch over his eternal library of knowledge. Trusting Brenion with all that he has been able to give him, he agreed to join the ranks of the Earth deity's home. A simple note left behind for Brenion was all he needed to hear from his mentor, and he gratefully accepted his role with a tender heart. "You have learned all of my knowledge, now you must teach them what I could not. Be well, and be fearless, my dear son." |
