Isakesi is the clan's scribe, who deals with nearly anything involving writing down what has happened in the clan. By turns, the roles of historian and record keeper also fall under her purview. Iande, the clan's merchant, was the one who welcomed her among them when she met the wildclaw in a clan she was trading with. Enchanted by her beautiful red wings, she negotiated Isakesi's entry into the Forge Warden clan and welcomed her with a gift of crimson silks to match her lovely wings. Isakesi helped Iande with her business ledgers and inventory lists on the trip back to her new home, and the imperial was quick to suggest that her skill in scribing and keeping track of things would make her an excellent lorekeeper for the clan. Iande was her first friend there, and the two remain very close, Isakesi still helping her with her business records, and Iande bringing her back oddities from other regions. Isakesi is rather quiet much of the time, feeling that it's her job to observe what happens within the clan, sometimes to the point that she forgets to participate. Her mate, Kalaraan, is much more outgoing than she is, and has a tendency to pull her into the clan's activities when he thinks she's missing out. She takes a certain satisfaction in neatly recording the clan's history, and being the one the less literate dragons come to when they want something written down. She is a notable beauty, but prefers ornamenting herself with her jewelry Kalaraan has made for her, all things with special meaning, which helps to avoid the Matriarch's unspoken disapproval of frivolous ornament. Some visitors to the clan have noticed her, speculating curiously on why the lovely wildclaw only came out for a few minutes to greet them, and wondering if she's kept guarded in the harem of some powerful warrior. It always amuses Isakesi to hear such things, since if they'd only asked her, she'd have told them she was off to record their visit in the clan archives. |
